Quality Techs inspect, sample, test, and grade parts and products for defects, wear, and other differences from specifications. They may use precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment in a lab, on the production floor, or other external job sites.
As manufacturers continue to add more high-tech equipment, they will need more highly-skilled maintenance workers and technicians who can install, inspect, and keep these advanced systems operating efficiently. Computers, software, and even augmented or virtual reality technologies are often used to help inspect and diagnose issues with equipment and products.
