Hello! My name is Kristi Heisinger. I grew up on a farm in SE South Dakota (Wagner). After graduation, I attended SDSU in Brookings where I obtained my BS in Mechanical Engineering and my MS in Industrial Management. During my time at SDSU, I worked as a Graduate Research Assistant doing energy audits for small to medium-sized manufacturers – that’s where I was first exposed to manufacturing and was bitten by the manufacturing bug. The environment really drew me in and I’ve enjoyed the challenges and complexity of the manufacturing world ever since. I moved to Spencer in 1995 for my first job as a Manufacturing Engineer at Eaton. I spent 12 years there in various roles (manufacturing engineering, production supervision, special projects, and engineering supervision). Through these various roles, I was afforded the opportunity to see the business of manufacturing from different angles. More recently I’ve held positions at Rosenboom, both in Spirit Lake and Sheldon, in Process Engineering and Continuous Improvement. My husband and I have four children ranging from a Senior in college to an 8th grader. We live on an acreage outside of Spencer. Between the last two sentences, you can guess where my free time is spent :).

If you have even the slightest interest in manufacturing, I encourage you to contact me to learn more. I would love to have a conversation with you about the possibilities that may fit your skills, interests, and abilities. Manufacturing is so diverse, I believe there’s Something For Everyone!
