SCOPE OF POSITION

The Manufacturing Manager manages and coordinates all production activities for a Site including engineering, maintenance, quality and safety and is responsible for operating the plant to ensure optimization of production to meet the needs of customers and support the growth of the Company while ensuring a safe work environment.

FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to work in a plant environment moving safely in and around machines and equipment.
  • Must be able to maintain quotas and production standards while ensuring work is conducted in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Regular use of computers and telephones.

Duties:

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBLITIES

Within the limits of applicable policies, procedures and established plans, he/she has authority to take action and make decisions.  The assignment of work or delegation or responsibility does not relinquish responsibility for results.  Performance will be measured by the extent to which the responsibilities have been fulfilled.

 

KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

  • Regular contact with the Scheduler with respect to production targets.
  • Frequent contact with Customer Service & Sales Manager regarding the status of incoming orders.
  • Regular contact with hourly plant personnel.
  • Daily contact with the General Manager regarding the daily operation of the Production department.
  • Daily contact with Human Resources Manager regarding personnel issues, disability management and training issues.
  • Occasional contact with accounting department.
  • Occasional contact with customers.
  • Occasional contact with Production Management from our other Sites.

Location: Sibley, IA, US

Experience: More than 20 years experience in a manufacturing environment including 10 or more in a senior managerial position.

Education: College/University Degree in Business with 7-10 years experience
