Summary:

Manage returned goods from Rosenboom customer accounts with the emphasis on gaining product knowledge and increasing performance efficiency and the utilization of standard inspection/test processes and techniques to determine the root cause of the issue and the effective documentation and internal communication of the data. Works with Sales, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Production personnel. This position may involve travel for the reasons of onsite inspection and/or product service.

Duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities[1]:

—      Receive (complete and submit required documentation) and test to verify the presence of customer reported issues.  Disassemble and evaluate cylinder for warranty consideration.  Determine root cause of non-conformance, document the data, and initiate internal communications required to resolve possible future issues.  Evaluate the need for and order all component parts as needed for repaired assembly;

—      Maintain an accurate scheduling report on products returned.  Products are to be checked in and RMA check-in paperwork is to be submitted upon receipt of product.  Products received from customers are to be evaluated and paperwork is to be submitted within the prescribed timeline of the customer account upon receipt of products;

—      Complete warranty determination and reporting based on inspection results and not conjecture or speculation; 

—      Coordinate directly with production to obtain all needed parts in a timely manner to meet goal levels of turnaround time within the department; 

—      Perform final assembly operations and prepare for final test and paint; 

—      Complete the required reporting so that necessary shipping papers can be processed;

—      Attend, assist, help set up, help resolve issues, gain knowledge and experience of cylinder applications and operations with the customer accounts;

—      Enact timely disposition on returned product whether the product requires repair or disposal.

—      Evaluate and gather all necessary information to repair plant returned cylinders for quoting purposes as required;

—      Maintain separation of each product or group of products returned to assure that no loss or mix-up of parts would confuse the cause of non-conformance analysis.  Be accountable for all returned products while awaiting disposition;

—      Maintain accurate labor hour reporting for determination of added manpower when required.  This is based on quantity of returned product and the estimated hours to repair and return to the customer account;

—      Adheres to all local, state and federal safety rules;

—      Is a productive member of his/her department and adheres to all Rosenboom policies, including safety requirements/procedures, in order to ensure a safe working environment for all Rosenboom employees; and,

—      Habits of good attendance and punctuality are an essential responsibility of all Rosenboom job positions.
