This position works closely with all manufacturing departments associated with the manufacture of both paper and woven poly propylene (WPP) bags. It is, at times, involved in all aspects from raw material procurement through the shipment of finished goods to the customer. This position also liaisons with and works closely with the sales group to promote the sale of Hood Packaging products and is also involved in the follow-up pertaining to customer orders to include sizing/structure issues, complaints and concerns.

Duties:
  1. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBLITIES

Within the limits of applicable policies, procedures and established plans, he/she has authority to take action and make decisions.  The assignment of work or delegation or responsibility does not relinquish responsibility for results.  Performance will be measured by the extent to which the responsibilities have been fulfilled.

 

Functional Responsibilities

  • Procurement of materials
  • Sample Making
  • Print processing/work with printers/graphics arts
  • Work with sales/customers on print related projects
  • Address quality issues with both vendors and within the manufacturing process
  • Participate in customer calls with sales group - bag sizing, trials, complaints, etc.
  • Develop price quotes for new customers and business
  • Special Projects
  • Assist in assuring HACCP, GMP’s, Work Instructions and Food Safety Quality system requirements (SQF) are in compliance.

Experience: 7-10 years in the flexible packaging/multi- wall industry

Education: Minimum of High School Diploma or GED and some post-secondary education with
