Maintenance - Den Hartog Industries, Inc.

Repairs and maintains production machinery and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments, etc. Performs work to maintain, repair, and construct building facilities and structures. Duties may involve carpentry, welding, machining, electrical, equipment repair, as well as installing, aligning, balancing, and setting-up new equipment.

Electrical experience/knowledge is needed and HVAC experience/knowledge is a plus! Machine Programming experience is encouraged.

DUTIES

1.Repairs or replaces defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassembles equipment.

2.Performs routine preventative maintenance to ensure machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical conditions of buildings do not deteriorate.

3.Inspects drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform maintenance actions following checklists.

4.Uses tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, etc., to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.

5.Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.

6.Inspects, operates, and tests machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions.

7.Records maintenance and repair work performed.

8.Cleans, lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.

9.Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.

10.May set-up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools and welding to make and repair parts and equipment.

11.Operates forklift and other material handling equipment to assist in set-ups, mold removals, and various other job duties, as assigned.

12.Recommends measures to improve production methods and equipment performance.
