The Business Development Representative will be responsible for developing and facilitating the relationship with clients for Interstates. The Business Development Representative will be responsible for setting goals, tracking, and promoting sales activity with current and potential clients across multiple industries. Interstates seeks ambitious, innovative individuals with the ability to grow and maintain value-added relationships with our Team and external clients.
Education and/or Experience:
- 4-year degree in Business, Engineering, or Technology preferred
- 5+ years' experience selling services
- Construction Experience is preferred

- Strong organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Proven ability to learn
- Ability to work on a team and help drive others to succeed
- Strong customer service skills
Travel: Travel will be required up to 50% of the time.

- Discover, interview, evaluate, and qualify potential clients.
- Diagnose a prospect's business and technical challenges.
- Assist in developing and presenting proposals to clients.
- Lead the effort to secure signed contracts with clients.
- Regularly visit clients to assess client satisfaction and discover additional needs.
- Build knowledge, expertise, and client network.
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and educational events.
- Perform industry research and provide input to assist in setting direction.

- Maintain records of meetings, phone calls, e-mails to ensure continuity of effort.
- Maintain records to promote effective planning.
- Organize and plan sales calls and other educational activities for clients and prospects.
