Interstates is growing, and we are currently seeking an Automation Manager to join our Plant Floor Automation Team. The Automation Manager will be responsible for developing and facilitating the relationship with clients for Interstates. This role will lead and develop a team of automation programmers while developing client relationships and promoting Interstates’ services. Interstates seeks ambitious, innovative individuals with the ability to grow and maintain value-added relationships with our Team and external clients.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
- 2- to 4- year degree OR equivalent experience
- 7-10 years’ automation experience
- 3-5 years’ leadership experience
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with industrial control systems, OT, data integration
- Able to stay up to date on industry standards and promote best practices
- Experience leading clients on digital transformation journeys
- Experience with major automation platforms, such as Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric, Siemens
- Technical Sales Experience
Travel: Travel will be required up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities
- Drive growth of Interstates’ automation services and promote Interstates’ total service offerings for new and existing clients
- Provide input in estimating, scope definition, and design phases of automation projects
- Manage accounts of new and existing clients and drive technical sales
- Drive and implement strategic initiatives
- Provide delivery leadership to a group of controls programmers
- Work with project managers and other team leaders to successfully deliver projects
- Responsible for team financial results
- Assist with hiring, coaching, and developing team
- Promote Interstates’ culture and safety standards on team
- Develop and manage relationships with internal and external leaders and clients
- Be a client sponsor in order to ensure client satisfaction and resolve disputes, as needed
